Marton Hall is an arts and crafts country manor house which is available to rent for large groups in search of a relaxing rural retreat.

We were approached by owners Giles and Honor Gwilt to design and produce a new website to promote their fantastic country home, throughout which they had carried out a lengthy restoration project. They wanted to showcase the property via their own dedicated website where users could really explore all aspects of the house before booking a stay.

The stunning property is a visual treat so we wanted to let the photography speak for itself, and keep the design simple and elegant. We were lucky to have Paul Elton Photography on board who produced the superb photography and drone footage which made for a highly professional finish. Giles and Honor were understandably concerned that the heritage paint colours used in every room of the house reflected well in the photography and on screen - they do and they were more than happy with the final results.

The user journey is simple and easy to navigate without fuss, it includes interesting aspects of the Hall's rich history and ownership throughout the years. In keeping with the period, we selected a font with a contemporary twist on an arts and crafts style which worked well to combine the past with a modern aesthetic. The website was a bespoke build which included a user friendly content management system, giving the client full control over future updates.

Alongside the website we developed a branding style which would transfer well throughout any future marketing material. The logo-mark is a nod to a commissioned piece of garden architecture erected within the grounds of the house.

Since going live, traffic and bookings to the website have increased and combined with an active social media schedule and on-going SEO campaign the bookings are certain to rise even further.
