Branding is at the heart of everything we do, so we were thrilled to be involved in promoting a very special rugby event to commemorate the 100 year Armistice celebrations.
The team at Giant were truly honoured when we were asked to design the branding and promotional material for The Armistice Challenge Cup.
The competition was launched to mark the 100th anniversary of Armistice Day on 11th November 1918, and to commemorate the men who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country during WW1.
As part of the event, the Royal Navy Rugby League invited the Australian Royal Navy over to the UK to play a three-match series at stadiums in Wakefield and Portsmouth.
The Armistice Challenge Cup was the first competition of its kind and the event was such a success that both teams are now committed to making it a regular event in the Rugby League calendar.
Giant Creative worked closely with the event’s main sponsors, The Royal British Legion, to ensure the branding highlighted their involvement in the event, as well as encouraging big crowds to get involved and cheer on the boys.
